• Delay in publishing Tender Enquiries.
• Complaints by the Vendors who do not get the Enquiry. Leads to re-processing and delays in procurement in many cases.
• Delay in processing of the received papers manually.
• 'Clerical' errors associated in the process including in preparation of the Comparative Statements.
• General 'gossip' associated with the procurement systems effects 'moral standing' of individuals involved in the process, and puts question marks on the 'ethics' code. This impacts leadership in organisations.
• Existing procedures and systems are slow and inefficient, and do not deliver 'best value for the money' to the Buyers.

All these difficulties can be managed if our organisations, at various levels, resort to e-Procurement within the existing norms approved by their Corporate/HQ.
